    I am Robert Nay wife, Hope, the one with the southern accent for you that answered the telephone on board ship, Bob died Jan.27 2007, from a heart attack. It ‘s strange as he was really happy to get in touch with some of you guy’s. I think I have deleted some email for a few of you, so if you have sent an email and he hasn’t answered that is why. I remember some of your names, like Shannon and Patterson.. There was one radioman that I can not remember his name but I believe he got married in the Phillpines,do you know who I am talking just want to say thanks to him for helping Bob out when Bob came home in Dec. 1972. If you are interested in learning more about him other then as a sailor, you cna go to GOOGLE.COM call up Robert Owen Nay and willfind his mobt and a feature article that the local paper in Ft. Worth (Star Telegram) which was picked up by several other website and news papers.

    for all of you that have not read the update on Robert Nay he died on Jan 27 2007. he had a heart attack I got up several hours after him and found him in his chair just like he had closed his eyes and went to sleep.

    ps if anyone wants to know how to reach the company he had been in conyact with to have the patches made I might be able to find the info.

    I served from 1972 to 1974, was a Radioman and also worked in Signals.
    I have the 71-72 and 73-74 cruise books, if that helps you any?

    I was a Radioman and also worked as a signalman for awhile. I was the lucky guy who had the heart attack while we where in the Indian ocean.
