I worked right across the passageway from the radio shack in the CIC. RD2 Donald Capron also know as Cap. I also went to fleet training school in San Diego before the recommissioning. I was an RDSN then and made RD3 and RD2 while I was aboard. I replaced RD1 Robert Shaw as lead Radarman just after we got underway for our second West Pac cruise.
