I served on the Ashtabula from 1943-44. Have a Shellback certificate and other certificates from our trip from Porstmouth throught the canal etc. I served in the Gyro room next to the soda fountain which was outside. Remember being in Kwajalein during a bombing raid by the Japanese.
Remember climbing the main mast and checking the running lights on each yardarm. Plenty more.
