I was assigned to her in Sept 68 before commissioning, and was one a very few who received a plankowner plaque. One of my ship mates during that time and a very good friend, Kenneth Flick , 3rd class Bm, served with you probably. He stayed in Ca until we got out of Navy in April 70, but then never heard from him again.
I was proud to have served aboard, and was sad to here of both decommissioning and of the scuttling. Two facts about her still remains #1 in that she has stilled more sailing time and has pumped more fuel than any other in the U S Fleet.
