I was just coming aboard around the time tou were leaving. Reported around the last day of Dec 75. Happy face was still in tact. First assignment was to clean the forward chainlocker. Next was chipping undernieth the helo deck. Spent about a year in deck division then becam SH striker. As soon as I reported to the supply dept went mess cooking in O country for three months then off to SH records keeping school. Got back and did a poor job of record keeping so was sent to barbers school. Returned and was ships barber until the beginning of 1977. I see alot of engineering names that are very familiar but tried to give those butt greasin snipes a wide berth. (kidding fella’s). Some names I remember from deck div are McPherson, Giampola, Tiglau (Have an 8X10 glossy of him standing in front of the ship). I’m sure many more will come to mind, what little I have left. I remember “Frog” from the stream team. Memories to last a lifetime for sure. All be well.
